• Interest: It is important that you have a firm interest in this topic and strive to improve your skill set and knowledge.

• Patience: Probably is the most important trait to have to be successful in programing. Learning this subject was difficult for all professionals in this industry. Take the topic one chunk at a time and it gets easier as you go.

• Persistence: Don't give up! It's easy to say, "I don't understand" and walk away, but being persistent is what will make you successful in this industry. If you get frustrated, take a break! Focus on something else and return to the topic later. You may be surprised to find the answer to your problem after looking at it with a fresh perspective.

• Inquisitive: Question everything. How does this work, how does that return this result. Having an inquisitive mindset, with the proper research methodologies will expand your knowledge in this industry exponentially.
